BTW, the kids of Asterism were only 16 through 18 years old when they did that show, started when they were 10 and 13 years old, Hal-Ca the guitarist is a prodigy and she can put all male guitarists to shame the two boys Miyo and Mio are brothers and they met at a competition when they were very young and been together ever since. Hal-Ca and Miyo are 20 years old now and Mio is 22 I already have their entire collection except for the new EP Guernica A+ which is fantastic a very new breed of metal but inspired by the old classics. Hal-Ca has already covered many of the greats like Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Satriani, Via, and Ritchie Blackmoore. Check out their MV Rising Moon it’s a must watch https://youtu.be/IfxMi0Bx4x0
Great MEGA BOWL…ASTERISM is definitely one of the best POWER TRIO…HAL-CA is a VIRTUOSO on the guitar…LOVE THIS BAND…
Hal-Ca…. the guitarist in Asterism was just sixteen years old when this was recorded. The mind boggles to think what she’ll be like in another ten years. She is possibly one of the most gifted young guitarists on the planet.
M.T.H. are one of the biggest influences on the Japanese music scene for the last twenty years. Tons of great music to explore. Asterism will be a force for many years to come.
The 7string bass was specially made by ESP for him only…….their latest 2021 songs Gunfire, Faded, Church
Maximum the hormone, one of the most crazy bands out there, Asterism a trio of phenomenal kids… Love both. Could you react to Junna playing some drum covers? she is very known for the “Through the Fire and Flames” a Dragonforce cover, but she play some other things very intersting too, here is a link if you guys became interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKr1H4Jv6is
Yes asterism! Please check out the videos they uploaded recently. They have always been amazing musicians. From their recent works, you can feel that their composition is more mature. And they are still very young🔥
For Maximum the Hormone check out Hunger Pride. That’s probably their best song. Check out the group Hu / Wolf Totem for some Mongolian Metal !!!!
“When we get to 1k”….LOL”……I totally digged Asterism and Hellebore. That Eliene was giving me Amy Lee vibes, and I really like that chick. Definitely want to see more of those! Psychography, they seemed really garage band to me like they are just getting into it, slightly unpolished, so good that I expect them to grow into more than they are, and that was really good. …….. Life and energy. Energy is only converted, never destroyed- spirit. Life is the power and emotion is alignment. We ride in the river of spirit, pushed and pulled around. We attract the alignment of charge that we create, and the currents carry us always forward. When the mind is clear, searching, we dip in the past, present, future, and find synchronicity.
ASTERISM!!!!Hal-ca , is a BEAST!!!!🔥❤️🤘
MtH and Asterism? That’s gonna be good 😉
The song by Maximum The Hormone is about Ryo’s (guitarist/Vocals , and brother to the drummer Nao) youth being mobbed at school. Just knowing that is enough to “get” the song, even if you don’t understand the language … so much hope, rage and teenage angst epxressed perfectly.
Anyone who love rock/metal music will suddenly recognize which band in this list who playing music, not only with their technical skill but also with their heart and soul…. which is ASTERISM
The shredding at the end of the Asterism video reminds me of Frank Marino’s playing on Mahogany Rush Live, from the 1970’s. Everyone who is not familiar should check it out.
Another great one!! 🤘🤘 Maximum the Hormone for me depends on the song, some songs i really like others not so much.
Im not too familiar with Asterism but the couple songs is heard were awesome!!
ELEINE i dig it, expected it to go a little heavier after the intro but still cool!! 🤘🙂🐺🎸🔥
Nemophila released a new song today!!!
And thank you to you and your commenters who brought that genius from asterism! Holy crap. Jumping in that rabbit hole.
ASTERISM are:
Haruka Noma a.k.a. HAL-CA ( say Hal-ka ) on guitar is the youngest, born November 23, 2002.
Miyu on bass and Mio the drummer are brothers.
Introduced to each other at a talent contest in 2014, they were in the competition the next year as HAL-CA.
Here’s the link to the video of that performance:

Asterism is a god band 🤟🏼
As mentioned before, the first video you watched was not MTH, it was their franchise expansion band, CORONANAMOREMOMO.
For greater MTH brutality, react to Hungry Pride!
MAXIMUM THE HORMONE & ASTERISM are in the top 10 of my favorite Japanese bands. ASTERISM is in my opinion the most talented young metal band in the world and they are not only super talented musicians but also very educated young people whose interests are very serious and mature, which they included in their music, so the theme of their latest album is Civil War in Spain. I became infected with Japanese rock and metal music a little over a year ago and I’ve heard hundreds of bands so far, and I can say that if someone asked me to show him just one band from Japan representing their scene, it would be without a doubt was MAXIMUM THE HORMONE. Nothing more needs to be said about this band and its impact on the entire current Japanese music scene.
If you want to hear another strong trio that is as skilled as Asterism but with vocals, I warmly recommend Sokoninaru. For a start, I recommend their somewhat less chaotic and complicated song, which is somewhere in the middle of: “Metalin” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVlpVQ_sXqQ.
I’m more of a rock guy and I don’t listen to a lot of western metal. I listen to Japanese metal with pleasure because it is very melodic and the musicians are on another level. About 90% of the music I currently listen to comes from Japan, so I would like to recommend something that falls into this small 10% exception. It is the German metal band Null Positiv. This band is ideal for guys like me who listen to rock and want to get influence metal music, because it is a link to harder genres of metal music. In my opinion, German is much more suitable for metal than English, and singer Elli Berlin is, in my opinion, the best metal singer I have heard (Unknown Metal Queen). I recommend the song “Hass” (Hate) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo4Ppm6QzpQ
Keep up the great reactions, all the best!
MTH is one of the recommendation from Marty Freidman. He’s on the TV program ROCK FUJIYAMA 🙂
