Nao was a big inspiration not only to female drummers like Akane or Murata Tamu, but to every female professional musicians.
She shows them that it’s not over when you have kids, wich is too often the case in Japan where women have to stay home and do nothing else than raising kids once they become moms.
Thanks to her, many japanese women have embrace the dream of becoming professionnal musicians and do their carreer as they want.

MTH love to troll their audience, and after Nao’s first kid, they announced they will be doing only family music.

The result is “Maximum the Hormone I”, a MV where they start singing joyfully in a park before Ryo starts pucking on the screen and they begin playing their real music. 😀

Nao the drummer has been an influence on a lot of female japanese artists, glad you finally got to MTH

YEEES!! Nao is a drummer who had a great influence on Akane! Their versatility and creativity not found in other bands are incredibly amazing! Maximum the Hormone is probably one of the most popular metal bands in Japan.
Nao and Ryo-kun(guitar/vocal) are siblings by the way xD Thank you for reacting it. Take care ☘

MtH have been playing for 23 years, which is as long as System if a Down. Admittedly they are more likely to have heard SoaD first than the reverse, but who knows? If you like MtH and their craziness, you may wish to check out the equally eclectic 88KASYO Junrei, and their (male) drummer – Kenzo

It is really a pity that you cannot react to their lives, because they are immediately blocked. They are fabulous live, I think they have the coolest crowd in the world.

Always Maximum The Fun. So many of their tracks take you on a wild ride, and they address some serious topics, but always with a happy heart for the audience.

Oh you are here for a real treat. MtH are masters in changing the tone in the middle of a song, you sometimes have the impression of hearing several songs mixed into one and that’s also what makes them strong. What’s more, just with three musicians, they manage to make as many decibels as a bigger group and the fact that all of them are able to sing, brings them to a huge variety of genres.

MTH is a savage band! My favorite song/album is buiikikaesu. Unfortunately, that song isn/t available on YouTube anymore, and their label is not very friendly with reactors who react to it… But I do highly recommend listening to it. KILLER vid.

Woot really, I can’t believe it’s your first time listening to MTH. Maybe you should react to Hanabie – ‘We love sweets’ next 🧁

Edit: Nice Dicodec! 👍

Twice in this song it sounded to me like they slipped in an homage to “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis,” which was opening music for the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, iconic music for anime fans of its era.. The times that this happened was roughly from 2:19 to 2:38 and from 5:07 to 5:25. Compare with this other video from 0:14 to 0:22 and 1:06 to 1:26 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8ozVkIkr-g
