Also winnie was like Japanese limewire. At the end she is telling him that no one uses it anymore and he insists it needs to be said. She then tells him he looks like his mother (drummer and screamer are married)

It’s Bobby-V here 👋and I’ve been looking forward to you uploading this one just so I could go on that journey of utter confusion with you once again… thanks for that 😂

As with 99% of reaction channels, you didn’t let the whole video play out and missed the joke at the end.

Maximum The Hormone is my favorite band of all time, you should definitely check out more of their music. I recommend the song “F” if you are a fan of Dragon Ball Z 👍 😀.

Welcome to probably the strangest band you could find ahahahah
This is just Maximum the Hormone! They can get as heavy as anyone else, then just change to pop, or do an only pop song, or an only heavy song… They do whatever they do, and they love trolling fans!
For the next step, I would like to request for you to react to “Yoshu Fukushu” 😀

Winnie Upload is the same as Napster (files sharing).
Winnie was already closed when they did this video.
They are mocking Metallica vs Napster lawsuit.

Maximum the Hormone are masters of transitions, especially ones that don’t seem like they should work but somehow do. That being said, this song is probably the most extreme transition from heavy to light, and it seems to be a lot of people’s favorites to suggest as first-time reaction videos

You should check Yoshu Fukushu – a more straight off metal one from them but wonderfully diverse

MtH are a fantastic band. Saw them live in London a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic show, and this is one of the tracks they played. As others have said, this is a song about bands selling out and going soft. Winny was a Japanese filesharing system like Napster so they are making fun of the Metallica/Napster case.

They are also known for trolling their fanbase. They went on haiatus for a couple of years whilst the drummer Nao was having kids and when they announced their return they said that due to the children they were going to soften their image and released a video for the pop-punk track ‘Chiisana Kimi no Te’ (‘Your small hands’) (This can be seen at the start of the video for the track ‘Maximum the Hormone’).

Their sound is mostly a mix of Hardcore punk/Metalcore (I think someone in another comment said Sysyem of a Red Hot Pantera, which fits) with a lot of other stuff like pop/funk/edm thrown in seemingly at random, but it all works so well.

I would recommed ‘Yoshu Fukushu’ (‘Pre-emtive revenge’), ‘Maximum the Hormone’ (full version), ‘Maximum the Hormone II’, or either of their songs from the Anime ‘Death Note’, ‘Zetsubo Billy’ and ‘Whats Up People?’

Do yourself a favor and find their “Live Metrock” video. The performance, sound, and audience reaction are incredible.

That last little exchange between the drummer and the bassist is essentially her chiding him for caring about Winny still when no one has used Winny for decades (think Japanese Napster in the modern era) and scolding him for yelling about it so much all the kids ran away. It includes some really funny shit, like the drummer saying, “look there’s only one kid left, and it looks like she’s going to cry,” to which the bassist sheepishly asks the child, “well, you feel the same about Winny, right?” which makes the kid run away.

The entire song is meant to show a slow degeneration of a more pure band into something poppy and fully sold-out. They start by singing about musical purity, then get a little more mainstream and sing about the dangers of nuclear war, then end up fully abandoning their sound to complain about Napster. It’s uh… well it kinda feels targeted tbh. The song is basically just shitting on Metallica and any band like them.
