Murata Tamu (NEMOPHILA) meets MAXIMUM THE HORMONE

麺カタコッテリで腹ペコラー!

MAXIMUM THE HORMONE drummer Nao-chan was the one who inspired NEMOPHILA drummer Murata Tamu to start playing drums. Nao had been her inspiration that push her to continue moving forward as a drummer from the beginning of her carrier and after she gave birth since Nao also did the same.

In 2019, months before NEMOPHILA was formed, Murata Tamu determined to make an unexpected appearance and managed to crash MAXIMUM THE HORMONE “second-store” franchise audition.

A phenomenal drummer and such a humble and irresistible personality. Says it all that the MTH members shown their respect too🙏… So glad NEMOPHILA came about the way it did. Must be fate… time to take over the world girls 🤘

The more I see and hear of Murata Tamu, the more my image of her becomes more clear. She’s not only a great drummer, but first and foremost a very likeable person with one of the most infectious smiles I have ever seen.
Leaving a comment and a sub on your helpers channel is a matter of honour and has just been given. 🙂
Many greetings from Germany, and thank you both for this great video!

NEMOPHILA should retain OvD as the official NEMOPHILA Knowledge Base and keeper of their origin story. Priceless early footage and history 🌸✨🌠

Saw just the audition video a couple years years ago. The realization it was Tamu auditioning was entertaining then and still is. Does anyone know if this audition was before or after Tamu’s audition for Yoshiki?

Excellent! Great job editing this together.
My new Oshi since she wore my hat. Sorry Mayu. We’ll always have LA.

I would normally say the band Nemophila is lucky to have Tamu but in reality the whole band is so loaded with such badass talent that I say they are damn lucky they found one another. Is becoming one of the best bands on the planet

The Marata Tamu and Senri Kawaguchi – Real Life – video is great. Both are laughing through the whole video. For those who don’t know Senri, she went more into the Jazz/Fusion world and is looked at as one of the top level drummers also for studio work. The senri kawaguchi zildjian video is a great video to see Senri.

Thanks so much for this. I love MTH reaction to Tamu. What a wonderful person ( and drummer) she is!!

Tamu is the backbone and she’s the timekeeper and damn good one at that. IMO, a good drummer will make a bad band good and a great drummer will make a good band great and Tamu makes Nemophila great.

Their reaction when they recognise Tamu is just lovely. That’s at least three amazing bands that would never have existed if it weren’t for Nao (Akane Hirose also started playing because of her).

But Tamu saying “that’s what western music sounds like”…. I hope that one day soon western kids will hear a great new band from their own country and think “that’s what Japanese music sounds like”.
