Fun fact: MTH’s drummer, Nao, inspired Akane from Band-Maid to start drumming, as well as many others. I believe Tamu from NEMOPHILA also said she inspired her to start

MTH is a fucking fantastic band they can really go pretty hard in some of their songs. Check out Yoku Fukushu, Hungry Pride, ALIEN, Koi No Mega Lover, What’s Up People and Zetsubou Billy.

Mi first song of Them was “What’s Up People” (You should have to react too) and it was a wired sensation, it was amazing and weird at the same time. But now it’s one of my favorite bands.
Pleas do more reactions of Maximum!!!!

Don’t expect more of the same if you listen to another song by MTH. It’s like Band Maid you never know what to expect. Fast, slow who knows. Now put those expectations on drugs and now you have Maximum the Hormone please watch more! But be careful copyright is a bitch for this band.

There are so many amazing MTH songs, each so different from the last – as said already they are heavy on copyright which is why you don’t often see reactions to them, so good luck! People say they are the Japanese System of a Down, but they’re far more diverse than that… I think my first MTH experience was ALIEN, and it was love at first sight! Once I saw Yoshu Fukushu (“Pranked Revenge” as google translates it as!) next, my jaw was still on the floor – still is! 😀

My first mth was alien, it was mental, from that on I was in for the ride! Easily one of my favorite bands and after seeing them live this spring I would even say one of the best live bands ever!
Be aware of their copyright strikes, as others said directly from the closer band environment.
Can‘t believe they do this since they are so humble and gentle when you meet them, especially Nao (drummer). Enjoy all of their crazy fun songs!

“WTF is going on?” … I think it’s safe to say that this is pretty much every time the reaction to any video from MTH. 🙂 They are, and I mean this positively, totally nuts and know absolutely no boundaries, which applies both musically and stylistically to their video. This song and the video here are great, but still harmless. 🙂 🤘🏻

I cannot get the opening part song out of my head. It’s so catchy. If u want to be shocked, look up these lyrics in English. Looking forward to the more hard stuff from this band. 🤘🏼on Biss.

“It’s amazing to go to one of this bands concerts..” YES. I saw them in June this year in London. Fantastic show 🙂
Please react to more (Alien and Yoshu Fukushu are fun), but be carefull. As others have said they can be strict with copyright. Overlays to the video and frequent pausing are advised.

I must have watched her say “Koi no Sperm” (sounds like coinosperma) like 6 times. The face she made was both cute and funny.🤣

I’ve heard the name of the band before, but not any of their songs I don’t think. Crazy Japanese bands. 😛 Speaking of Japanese bands, check out these bands.

Might be fair to warn you that MTH (the actual band/management, not just their label as is more often the case) are extremely aggressive with their copyright stance. In the past they’ve gotten other smaller reaction channels shut down for doing videos of them.

I’ve been a fan of Maximum The Hormone since 2007… 2008 more or less when I met in one of the openings of the Death Note anime until today I enjoy the band’s songs in which I recommend more react videos of their songs which are the most iconic like:
Akagi
Bikini Sports Punchin
Heisei Strawberry Vibe
Kyoukatsu
Louisiana Bob
Policeman Benz
Shimi
Usugimi Billy (Death Note Song)
Whats Up People! (Death Note Song Opening)
Yoshu Fukushu (recomend)

I loved your reaction! MTH is my favorite band ever, and trust me, this was one of their “joke” songs! They usually go much harder!
PLEASE DO MORE!
ALSO IF YOU WANT TO DO MORE OLDER STUFF, PLEASE USE MY OTHER ACCOUNT PLAYLIST! I have been helping the entirety of MTH community by uploading their old stuff + everything that they don’t upload 😀
You can search “Projecto Asian Musikko” youtube channel and go to the playlist tabs! (I sadly cannot put their stuff public so that’s the only work around to find the unlisted stuff ;D )

as a veteran listener, you might wanna listen to “予襲復讐” and “A.L.I.E.N.” ! If you liked this, you’ll definitely love those 2 songs 😀

When I first heard Maximum the Hormone it was the OST for Death Note and I thought it kicked ass. When I heard some of their other songs with all the craziness I thought ‘who is this for? Does anybody like this?’ But yeah now I love them.

This is the song that made me love them. Because I realized how much fun they were having and it gave me a better context for their other songs.

The polite translation of the name of this song is “Cow Love Juice”. The large area of the video is from serval performances, the bit that was in the corner is the orginal video which was done years before the performances, so the crowd are just copying that. And the pictures that come up are of the band members when they were young. Also the drummer Nao, is the older sister of the guitarist.

The 1st MTH video I saw was “What’s Up People” which was one of the Death Note theme tunes. Then “Alien” which makes the crazy in this seem tame.

MTH are known for doing serval styles of music, sometimes in the same song.

I saw MTH in London this year. I’ve been to hundreds of gigs in my time (soon to be 60 years old) and I can honestly say that it was one of the most active, fun shows I’ve ever seen. If you get the chance to see them, go for it.

Saw them this June….I still can’t feel my pinky from my left hand, clamped my ulnaris-nerve xD…Their concerts just hit different…The energy they project is pure life!
And there is no band on this earth, that makes me smile as much as they do.

MTH was founded in 1998, still going strong today, and with this stable line-up of four musicians for most of those years. The drummer and guitarist are brother and sister. They are VERY popular in Japan and have inspired many other Japanese Rock bands. This video is a remix of footage taken over many years at a Summer outdoor festival, which is why the stage, lighting, and band members keep changing in appearance.

NAO-san, the drummer, is also the founder and the leader of the band.
The song title has two meanings as “KOI” can mean “love” or “thick”.
I think you will enjoy all their videos. Perhaps do YOUSHU-FUKUSHU or ALIEN next.

They’re singing in Japanese. I saw them once at a festival in Japan and the intensity of the crowd is second only to BABYMETAL. Crowd participation is common in Japan. I think it started with Idol music.

Hi! I am enjoying watching your channel from Japan.
MAXIMUM THE HORMONE is a popular band in the Japanese music scene. Their lyrics are pronounced in such a unique way that even Japanese people find it difficult to understand them.
They are especially well known to young Japanese, but the moment when you, who may not be familiar with them, are staring at their childhood photo made me laugh because it was so funny to me😆. 6:40
