Honestly, if Chainsaw Man only had one ED. This one would be the most fitting for it. 1st ED is still my favorite, but I feel like this is the most fitting one overall, especially along with the visuals. I love Maximum the Hormone. Crazy band. They did some great anime OPs and EDs.
For example, Makima’s pose is evocative of classical portraits of Beatrice from Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’ – the subtext is that this woman sent Dante to Hell so he could attain enlightenment and salvation through suffering.
Ahh, fyi its not all the same vocalist, its usually 3 person. Ryo kun the guitarist is doing the clean vocals, The female part is by the drummer Nao, i love her voice. and finally Daisuke-han focus on the scream vocals & rap, also sometimes plays additional drums/percussion and keyboard.
“This part really reminds me of System of a Down.” Funny you should say that, Maximum the Hormone the band that played this ending is often compared to SOAD. They are well known for doing Death Notes second opening.

This ED did such a good job capturing the breakneck pace of CSM and it has my favorite visuals yet

2:49 SAME! It really does reminds me of SOAD too! SOAD and Maximum the Hormone have the same vibe, maybe that’s why I love them both lol
that band also made the second opening for Death Note, which sounds 100% like System of a Down
The opening chant in this almost sounds like Mongolian throat singing.
