Winny was a Japanese version of Napster. The end of the video Nao the drummer was telling Daiske the singer to settle down because Winny was already out of business and that he was scaring the children. Then she told him that he looks like his Mom when he gets mad, only making him madder. The thing to remember about M.T.H. is that almost everything they do is tongue and cheek. The theme of the video was a popular underground group gaining a large following and then selling out. Hence the drummer in a wedding dress marrying the westerner. M.T.H. actually started at about the same time as S.O.D. around 1998. Most of their early stuff is very punk but always with their unique flavor. I would recommend Zetsubou Billy as your next taste. Straight forward song for M.T.H. used in the Death Note Anime series. Nemophila does a cover of it, so maybe contrast and compare.
Would love to see your reaction to the two Nemophila covers of a Maximum The Hormone. Both are great.
LOL – I knew you would love this one. They for sure were influenced by System of a Down. M.T.H. formed in 1998, two years after S.O.A.D. Also influenced by Red Hot Chili Peppers (bass player Futoshi is a HUGE Flea fan). Every song rides the musical knife edge of Chaos, Insanity, Social Commentary, and Humor – wrapped in a Death Core shroud. I’ve said for a couple of years now – If S.O.A.D. and R.H.C.P. had a Japanese Lovechild, it would surely be named M.T.H. ! 😃
Alien by Maximum Hormone sounds pretty good John but I didn’t expect that girl to be holding up a stop sign but at least it sounded better towards the end take care John 👍👍🤘🤘🆒🆒

The cookie monster voice has never done it for me. What genre are they considered? The bass piece @ 3:30 was cool. Don’t think I’d go out of my way to listen to them. Trying to get more into metal core (if that’s what they’re considered), but the struggle adapting to it is real. I grew up on 80s metal so thrash and power metal are my thang. Wth was that piece w/the girls holding the signs and the kids? Definitely a unique band. lol.
So funny to see you smile when the anime part started. Remember you hating them so much. I cannot say I love everything they do but damn they are so much fun. The 2 Nemophila covers of Shimi and Zetsubou Billy are a blast.
