Okay, I saw the episode. This hits so much differently now.
Easily the best chainsaw man ED so far and it’s not even a competition for TK. He’s quite literally never missed in his entire career from Tokyo ghoul, to psycho pass, to fucking spider-verse. Every single time he makes a song for a franchise it’s gonna be a hit and Chainsaw Man was no exception. God I want to inject this into my veins

I’m not going to do spoilers, I’ll just say that if you thought this episode was crazy, believe me when I tell you: CSM gets even crazier later on.
It’s finally starting, Chainsaw Man has begun, and so has the madness.
Episode 8 was literally a game changing episode
Few seconds, and you recognizing its another banger from TK.

映像も今のところこれがぶっちぎりで好き

I feel like I’m witnessing history each week while watching this show. I know for a fact that this show will be talked about and watched for years to come. The talent and vision behind the creation of each episode were made to last so that even future generations could witness and appreciate every single one.
Words can not describe the chills I got from 1:04. The visuals, the “camera” focus changing from foreground to background but failing to focus on Himeno whilst TK switches from chest to head voice. The focus even seems to follow TK’s singing in a way but might just be in my head.
I just hope that after this ED people start listening to more TK from 凛として時雨 & 凛として時雨 songs. Kind of feels sad that most people know TK only because of Unravel, Katharsis & Abnormalize (at the least). There are more similar chaotic and amazing songs like Unravel produced by TK. Also if you like calm songs worry not TK has also produced those types of songs too. Just check out his other songs you’ll love them 🙂
You know it’s hard to describe what kind of feeling this episode gave me, I’ve read the manga but this is just another level. The whole episode i feel anxious, then shocked, and like only a few hours later i’ve got a heavy wave of sadness and sorrow because Himeno is dead. It’s like i was there and can’t feel anything because of the adrenaline, and it only hits me much more later. Pure kino. Props to Mappa, it was gorgeous.
Никогда не считал эту группу чем-то особенным, просто неплохой группой. Но этот эндинг просто шикарен. Теперь понимаю, почему люди ждали именно его.
This episode is the “Turning Point” of chainsaw man.
It’s only getting better from here.
Damn, i’m a manga reader and whilst i was hyped because i knew this was coming, i definitely didn’t expect them to make me feel so bad for Himeno, damn…. the last minutes of the episode and this ending right after were TOO MUCH.
Creativity at its peak, visually and musically amazing.
Chainsaw man fans are being spoiled like no other anime fans. Thanks to all people involved, please keep doing what you’re doing, and I hope every person involved is getting well paid and being recognized for their amazing job.

1:04 is where the tears and emotions hit ngl. The way he sung those higher notes and held them really summed up the sadness You’re meant to feel. TK never misses with these songs. The incredible impact that this ending has on me is amazing, but also depressing as hell.
After one day after watching the 8th, I’M STILL FULL OF EMOTIONS and am still watching the ending again and again. The ending is making everything even worse, i am crying as hell, it’s so tragic, but so well done!!!!!!

At 1:04 Himeno looks free, free of losing others and she knows that she died saving Aki who will mourn her. She wasn’t around very long but she was very important to the series and characters. After so much struggle and loss she finally got FREEDOM!!!

サイコパスやら喰種やら狂気じみた雰囲気を表現するにはピッタリのアーティストだよね。
The bit from 0:58 – 1:04 I can’t stop rewatching. Just the way he grabs ghost’s hand for a boost and then drops down to finish the devil off, it’s seamless. And the interlaced shot of them holding hands right when he catches onto it 👌🤌 *chef kiss* .
OH MY GOSH IF YOU WATCH IN .25 PLAYBACK SPEED YOU CAN SEE HIMENO’S GHOST ABILITIES UNSHEATHING HIS SWORD. I’M CRYING.
あの絶望的なラストから全く息つく暇も与えてくれずすぐさまこのエクスプレス級に激しく悲壮感漂うED曲に突入する流れはマジでヤバかった…TKさんの演奏技術の高さはもちろんチェンソーマンの世界観を表した変態性もプラスされてて素晴らしい曲だと思う
