The original opening 2 for Death Note doesn’t use the full song, so i decided to Remix the Opening Animation with the Full version taken from the Album, and used some scenes from the other opening an ending animations to fill out

this op was such a massive punch in the face watching the show. since op 1 was veeeery light and pretty mellow you didn’t expect much then you hear the whisper then just BOOOOOAAAAAAA! with blasting instrumentals lol.

I have a feeling i heard this song before but done in english. Grew up with Sepultura, Slipknot, Korn, Static X, Mudvayne, Soulfly, System of a Down etc. I have a feeling one of them or maybe another one made an english version of this song.

When my aunt first showed this to me i was startled haha. We grew up in a home where metal music like this was looked down on. I was like”what is she watching? A student killing criminals because he believes its justice? Taking advantage of the people around you?”. I remember seeing the potatoe chip scene when i was like 10 maybe?(for some reason i i thought it was L in this scene haha. I thought L was the “neat one” and Light was the” weird hair” looking one haha).And i saw the comments saying stuff about the show and i swore i would never watch it. Because my 10 year old brain digested it as” a show about someone mindlessly killing and demons” haha. I was wrong and im glad i decided to watch it:). It’s my second favourite anime/manga. Not just for the story, but the art and the way things were cleverly executed. I love the soundtracks made by Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi and the others that helped. I love the story Tsugumi Ohba created and the art Takeshi Obata made. Idk how to end this uh- go watch death notenif you havent haha
