Kawakita Nao-chan is the inspiration of Akane-san (Band-Maid) and Tamu-san (Nemophila). She’s probably an inspiration for many young female drummers.
You should check out their song Yoshu Fukushu. Great spotlight on Nao-chan’s vocals in the middle and crazy base riffs for you too 🙂

Funny you should say the family thing because half of the band ARE family. Drummer Nao and guitarist Ryo are sister and brother. And yes, Ue-chan is a damn amazing bassist!

Love how passionate you are for MTH! Not sure if anyone has given you the line-up yet so here it is just in case:

Guitarist/Clean Vocals: Ryo Kawakita “Maximum The Ryo-Kun”
Drummer/Clean Vocals (Also Ryo’s older sister): Nao Kawakita “Nao”
I really love your enthusiasm for Ue-Chan’s bass playing as he often gets left out of discussion from many reactors, which is such as shame because he is a phenomenal Bass player. If you want more songs that highlight his bass playing I recommend: F, Alien, Buiikikaesu, What’s Up People, Maximum The Hormone, Uehara (Futoshi), and Kyokotsu (One of the few songs he gets clean vocals in!)
As for Nao who you also seemed to love, she has many more songs with great vocal performances, I suggest: Shimi, Zetsubo Billy, Chu Chu Lovely, and Yoshi Fukushu.
Finally I just want to say I absolutely love how you describe the band as a family! That is the perfect way to describe them and you will see it come through much more in their music videos, as you saw in this one, towards the end of each they have little segments of the members just fooling around, and you’ll start to notice trends like running gags and songs the have fun with the fans getting them involved as well. Really hope you continue reacting to MTH.
a song i don’t see a lot of people reacting to but LOVE the baseline of is “Black ¥ Power G-Man Spy” by them. So much Funk in that metal song !!!
Be very careful with these guys. They are notorious for copyright strikes, and will put in individual strikes for every MV you have. They have wiped out channels in a single hit before, even when the reactor was positive about them.
