Probably my favorite song by them. It’s more straight forward music wise. Doesn’t have all the stop and go multiple genre’s that break into some weird whatever like the other song’s. Kinda strange also that so many gave him shit about losing weight. Never understood that one myself. 🤘✌
Yes Ryu lost a lot of weight for health reasons. Some fans were upset because they preferred him heavier. In true M.T.H. fashion they made a song in response to this called Let’s talk about menkatta catalee. However I would recommend the song Tsume, Tsume, Tsume as your next taste. Marty Friedman of Megadeth fame released a instrumental cover of it as well.
Hello again John, and thanks for doing more MTH! I think that their “lighter”, “goofier”, “poppier” songs are easier to take, and a lot more fun, if you are more familiar with their heavier stuff, so I’m glad you’ve gone farther with them. As for another recommendation of theirs, I’d say try this live version of Koi No Sperm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUeRiPyjFH4. But it comes with a caveat, it’s VERY much on the poppy-punk side (like Koi No Mega Lover, the one you hated), but has footage of some of the most epically massive crowd participation I’ve ever seen, which really illustrates their popularity in Japan!
Maximum the Hormone Hungry pride sounds really cool John cool vocals they play their instruments really well this song sounds much better than the previous songs you’ve reacted by them. They definitely aren’t your typical rock band. Take care John 🤘🤘
That thing in the middle of them is without a doubt a piece of meat that they use for döner kebab, gyros or shawarma. The guitarist lost a lot of weight because of health reasons. He apparently got flack for it from some of their fans (I have no clue why) so they made a song about it called Maximum The Hormone II. I don’t know for sure what this one is about though. Part of it might have been a commercial for Cup Noodles as far as I can see, not sure how that works, but ok.
Id like to see your reaction to there song called “maximum the hormone” or “Buikikaesu” but good vid anyways!

This band is so unique and different I can not not watch and listen to them.
There is a metal/rock and roll girl on the drums, and metal girls are awesome if they have chops, and she is great.
