Maximum the Hormone is the name of the band and the song is about Ryo’s response to his weight loss and fan’s reactions to it. They are an incredible band that are best seen live. Look for Sweet Lover Shower festival from 2010 and MTH performance of Benjo Sandal Dance.

Fun Fact… “What’s up, people?!” has for me a lot of so called “misheard lyrics”.
e.g.: I always understand “Want some Fluffy-Pie? Oh, It’s a Teletubbie! Want some Fluffy-Pie?” x’D

Love your reaction. The guitarist had to loose a lot of weight as his doctor told him he was going to die. When fans noticed that he had lost weight they dissed him, this is his response to them in a way only MTH could.

Actually i can hear the audio but on the lowest level guys. I just want to see the normal whole reaction if there’s a link for that. I vote for Zetsuo Billy/Billy in Despair by MTH. Just gave us links for full normal review of the MV reaction, I’ll watch it.

I imagine you’ve got it sorted by now, but Maximum The Hormone is the band name.
If I didn’t like them already, I’d still be in their debt, since seeing their drummer Nao convinced Akane of BAND-MAID that women could be on the drums.
And we know how that turned out. : )
Unfortunately their label is as crazy with copyright as they are in song composition.
Still, keep an eye out for ‘Zetsubō Billy’, ‘What’s Up, People?’, ‘Benjo Sandal Dance’, ‘A L I E N’, and of course ‘Greatest the Hits 2011–2011’ (one of the most confusing titles for a single of all time.)

In case you did not notice, the “aerobics instructor” was the drummer Nao. Akane from BAND-MAID is a big fan of hers. Also: Everybody in the band can and do sing.

It’s almost impossible to prepare someone for the chaos tornado that is Maximum The Hormone, you just have to jump in and you are either going to love them or hate them. I would have stated off with something a little easier like “What’s Up People” but hey, you’re in the rabbit hole now.

Hello! One of the admin of Maximum The Hormone fanwebsite fb group here, and huge fan of this band since 2011 circa. (they are my fav band of all time)
The song is “Maximum The Hormone II, let’s talk about menkata cottele” and the band is indeed called Maximum The Hormone.
This song is the follow-up from the song “Maximum The Hormone” released back in 2011, and this talks about the guitarist losing so much weight to be healthy after the doctor said that he probably was gonna die if he continued being fat, but people were not happy about it so this is a huge “fuck you” to all the fans who preferred him fat.
Maximum The Hormone are a band which has many sounds in it and it shows. Every member sings and have their own parts in each song, (and yes, the drummer is a female, and she’s amazing 😀 ) I could talk about them for a long time but I want make this short.
Also the japanese industry for this band (and many others) are very strict with copyrights so a synch reaction is preferred.
I wanna tell you a thing before I suggest you some of the songs. I have another channel with every old song (or songs that are not uploaded by them) in very high quality.
