Deciphering MTH lyrics is like those classes I took in school picking apart Shakespeare. It’s complicated by the fact that Japanese poetry isn’t easy to translate. Nice job though. Keep at it. It’s mind expanding and inspiring! Thanks!

Total fucking masterpiece and my favourite MTH song by a mile.
This video and every performance video I’ve seen just seem packed with emotion. During the anthemic chant section near the end, Ryo’s and Nao’s faces seem to show real pain. With the backstory (Ryo’s persecution by bullies as a kid) and the lyrics (“No one can save him, not even big sister”), it’s not surprising.
Glad you followed the suggestions to watch the Nemophila cover of Zetsubou Billy and searched out MTH. Then the suggestions for Yoshu Fukushu. If only more reactors would listen to suggestions seriously. This is my favorite MTH song but have soft spots for Shimi (plus Nemo cover) and the song Maximum the Hormone.
This is my favorite song also, that album “Yoshu Fukushu” is one of my favorite albums period. “F” would be a good song to check out next. 『鬱くしき人々のうた』is also another good song from that album that has a video. Great reaction! i am glad you enjoy MTH so much.

The song is about Ryo being bullied for being misunderstood, the revenge he plots, and then getting his anger out through music. When she sings about his sister not being able to help, Nao is Ryo’s sister so it hits harder. F is a fun song for a DBZ fan.
The unofficial video for F that is most popular is “【MAD】「F」マキシマム ザ ホルモン × DRAGON BALL Z 【再アップ】”. It has lyrics, decent editing, and over 24 million views. (comments keep dispearing)
