Just for context the vomiting is in reference to the video for the original ‘maximum the hormone’ song. When it came out originally the band had been away for awhile, and they announced as a prank that they’d decided to abandon metal and start making mainstream pop rock instead. The first 2 minutes of the video start as the music video for that mainstream style song, to confuse and trick their fans into thinking they’d gone mainstream, and partway through it pans out to reveal the guitarist watching the fake video on the tv, he vomits all over it, then the REAL song’s video starts.
“Yoshu Fukushu” as next one please, this is a must-watch.
i love listening to MTH before band-maid …. some how they stop releasing new music. i prefer newly release “Hungry Pride” over this song, is too weird for me too. Actually What’s up people would have been a better introduction to Maximum the hormone (more coherent and excellent song). But for me the greatest Japanese metalband is Dir en grey. Please check out Vinushka (masterpiece with several layers) or Uroko (fast paced catchy song). Hopefully you will appreciate these awesome musicians and their top notch singer Kyo!
Think of your brain when you are on a diet that your doctor put you on and it’s telling you, “i need some food, I Need Some Food, I NEED SOME FOOD!!!!!!!!” I am pretty sure this song is about the guitar player being told to go on a diet and exercise because of health issues. Yes this band is “out there” but they have many great songs to experience. BTW, not sure if you noticed drummer is the lady in the video.
So the song is about the guitarist (his name is Maximum the Ryo) loosing weight. Because his doctor told him he need to loose weight or else he would die. And it’s talking about how eating these things are bad for you. And that also some fans wanted the Fat Ryo better which is also in the lyrics. So that’s why the girl was looking at older videos of him when he was fat. And also the throw up part he did that in the first self titled song of Maximum the Hormone. So it’s like a called back thing lol. But yeah that’s what the song is about

This band is called Maximum The Hormone from Japan. Nu-Metal, Alternative Metal, Metalcore type of band. A lot of people call them Japan’s System of A Down.
