This is the ultimate troll a band can do to their fans. So when nao was pregnant with the first child, they announce that they will do a different approach to their music (probably a more pop band) which upset a lot of their fans. The title itself is to mislead, Maximum the Hormone – Chiisana Kimi No Te (Your Little Hand)/the first part of the song – Maximum the Hormone. The real title to this song is Maximum the Hormone.
Oh no, you got the short version guys. That was not the whole MV. The second half of the song should be about 5 minutes long XD Also this one is titled Maximum The Hormone, same with the band’s name, and the one where he throws up on the phone is Maximum The Hormone II or Let’s Talk About Menkata Cottelee.

This song came out after a 2.5 year hiatus and fans were thirsty for a new song. They released the first part “Your small hand”, with a page-long message at the end. They said how the birth of Nao’s first child changed their view of life and decided to do happy music. But if you read off the first letters off each line in their message, it said “Fxxk you if you took this seriously” (obviously in Japanese). Most people didn’t notice, and was upset for a whole week because they changed their style. 1 week later, they released the second half of the video, completely blowing our minds. The song has nothing to do with children or birth, but it’s about their band philosophy and about eating day and night.
The first song sounds very similar to a jpop band called “funky monkey babies”, who are good friends with them. Ryo was basically showing off that he can easily make catchy jpop songs like them but doesn’t do it because it’s crap, hence the vomiting.
Now that you’ve done a Band-Maid reaction I’m breathing more heavily as I’m impatiently waiting for the BABYMETAL – Road of Resistance one :D. Can’t wait ! Japan is amazing 🙂

Impressive how the guy on the right whose name I couldn’t understand catched the detail with the drummer looking after the mom with her child. That kinda solved the riddle regarding what the song is about. Most reaction channels aren’t able to look that closely.
Also its adorable to see people going through the process of getting to know Maximum the hormone, who hardly ever fail to troll their fans o/
some other realy good japanese metal band i think you guys would like: SiM, CrossFaith, fear and loathing in las vegas, coldrain, crystal lake.

If you want to explore the wonderful world of japanese rock/metal a bit more, I have acouple songs for you:
– MAYDAY by coldrain – feat. Ryo from Crystal Lake, a really good metal song with sick english! vocals
– 輪の花 (Ichirin no Hana/a single flower) by High an Mighty Color – a rather simple song, but I really like the guitar and the vocals
– Again by Yui – a catchy rock song, regarded as one the best anime op.
– Touch off by UVERworld – I have no idea what this is, but I love it
– Blood Circulator by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION – they have a lot of great songs, so if you like this, you gonna like their other stuff
– Black Hearts & Dollar $ign$ by Fade – english vocals, cool guitar riffs and vocal melody
– Paper Moon by Tommy Heavenly6 – This is my childhood, had to include it
– The Cruel Angel’s Thesis by Yoko Takahashi(?) – well, it’s not even rock, but it’s considered by many as the best anime opening
And at last, I also gonna recommend a MTH song, called “ChuChu Lovely MuniMuni MaruMaru PrinPein Boron Nururu ReroRero” yeah, this is the official title (atleast on spotify).

I also recommend you try the band DOLL$BOXX for some more fun jrock, they’re a hard to categorise band but it’s sort of a mix of rock, metal, electro and pop with some seriously funky bass. Their track Take My Chance is a great starting point.
why is it part 1 and 2??? i always watched this as 1 video and it doesn’t make sense that it just stops there since the song just normally continues….

Just watched all the mth reactions, good stuff guys. Been listening this band since i was 17 years old(2007) honestly my favourite band. You can’t understand how happy i am with the recent trend of youtubers reacting to them 🙂 EVERYONE needs to know about this band.
My sugestions are tsume tsume tsume and koi no mega lover. And…. Just listen to everything…
