I’d argue that MtH sound better live than they do in their studio recordings, which is usually pretty rare for a band.
They had a lot of live videos a couple of years ago. Too bad most of their videos are taken down ):
They had to stop live performance recently(because their drummer NAO was pregnant). But fortunately,we could have too much excitement on their lives from this summer! Especially, SUMMER SONIC2017 in Osaka( main stagium),it was unbelievable line-up. Maximum the hormone, Man with the mission, babymetal and Foo Fighters. At that time, almost funs were truely knocked down! These groups are ausome!!!
They really should put up live videos. People have got to see how awesome they are live.

日本(にほん)でも海外(かいがい)でも愛される、ホルモンみたいな音楽(おんがく)がもしかしたら本物(ほんもの)の音楽(おんがく)なのかもな。最近(さいきん)の公(おおやけ)に出(で)てる音楽(おんがく)は歌詞(かし)を重視(じゅうし)しすぎてすぐに飽(あ)きてしまうけど、ホルモンは何十回(なんじゅっかい)聴(き)いても飽(あ)きない、本当(ほんとう)に大切(たいせつ)な事(こと)は歌詞(かし)じゃないのかもね。

They have came to Mexico and I can say it was awesome. It was at Knotfest and their show lasted 1 hour, I was there because of them. I hope they come back again but only them.

I must not know the right SOAD songs. Very little about MTH reminds me of them, but i hear the comparison all the time in these reactions, so i must just be missing it. I’m a way bigger fan of these guys, though. Wish i knew of them when I lived in Japan back in 2009.

Saw them in Cologne a couple of years ago and it was more than worth the 550 Km trip to experience MtH. Loved them before and even more since them. Never felt such a constant power oozing from the stage: they grabbed the audience from the first second and never let go again (despite the long Japanese speeches after every 3rd/4th song – that‘s how they can stay in „beast mode“, as you put it, during the songs). If you get the chance, don‘t miss them!

Saw these guys in 2008 when they toured with the dropkick murphys. They were the first of 4 bands on the stage. But they blew away the other 2 opening acts.
These guys are sick. They’re the only band to fuse the Ska, hardcore, deathcore, punk, and pop stuff really well. Probably will be the only band to do it too.
In 50 years time, people are going to look back and praise this band for its creativity.
