Rock on JAPAN !

Today the sister drummer Nao and the brother guitarist Maximum the Ryo-kun appeared on the Japanese TV talk show.
They talked an episode that Ryo-kun always put on ‘Benjo-sandals (the special sandals for W.C.)’, even if the weather is -30 degrees Celsius.
They talked another one. When they were children, Ryo-kun went to the game shop for buying a game software. But he was too shy (he is still shy now), so he didn’t call out to the salesclerk. He went back home and took his sister Nao back to the shop. He made her buy the software and finally got it.

just a little story from their concert, this was the last song and there was a no small number of people (including me) doing the dance of the boy in the non heavy parts and suddenly start a mosh when the heavy hits… was the most surreal thing that i´ve lived in a concert xD … just imagine what happen when the play ALIEN xD

I’ve been listening to this song for 14 years and I still hear “Bitch lover, Jamaican lover”

The song is the seventh single released in 2006. It was adopted as the opening theme of the popular TV program ‘CountDownTV’ which introduces a one-week hit chart in Japan, and many people came to know them. The tune was catchy compared to their other songs and became a hit because it was easy to listen to even those who first listened to their songs. With this song as a trigger, the name recognition increased and the number of fans increased.

When I first heard this song I was like “Is this really MTH?” and boom the refrain shocked me! I think is song is about sex. I might be wrong.

This is their most famous song and still their most popular song on karaoke!
The screaming vocalist is called Daisuke-han and he does all the talking in lives. Daisuke-han and Nao are so funny that they show up in TV shows as comedians.

so far you’ve only reacted to their most famous songs, which are good, of course, but i’ve seen many metal reaction channels do it already. Rock-impo Goroshi is a fantastic album that has never been reacted to on youtube in english. my favorite songs from that album: Rock-impo Goroshi, Haiyani Spain and ROLLING1000tOON

This was the explanation given by theTaNKisnowhere on another react channel by reacttojoy
Yep, excitement and confusion is the correct response to a MtH song 🙂
The song is basically about an awkward/shy teenage boy who finds himself on a beach (in Europe I think) surrounded by girls in bikinis and he doesn’t know how to approach any of them. He’s heads telling him one thing his body is screaming another. The song is basically all those emotions and thoughts (both good and bad) running through his head while his trying to figure it out.
So I from what I’m getting in the video is, the party is what is actually happening and the black room is the struggle going on in his head.

Loving the reactions to the Japanese bands still. I already recommended Pay Money to my Pain: Sweetest Vengeance. But I feel I must also hope to clue you guys in on another Metalcore Japanese band, Crystal Lake. Loved this band just from their name and my own obsession with Friday the 13th. This band is fucking great. My favorite from them is their song Prometheus. Check it out.

Maximum the Hormone is still one of my favorite all time bands. Haven’t seen them live yet. Only Japanese on my “see live” list are Babymetal and Band-Maid. Both were fantastic.

Dude every time I look for this song I can’t find this original version of the song I’m so confused. It seems like it was taken down and there is almost a cover on maximum the hormones own channel. Perhaps this is because I’m in Australia.

Hey, guys! Loving your reactions. I just subbed after watching all of your MtH videos. Some other songs from them worth checking out are Shimi, Bikini Sports Ponchin, and Hocho Hasami Cutter Knife Dosu Kiri. I mean, pretty much all of their stuff is worth looking into, but those are among my favorites that haven’t been reacted to yet. This band has always been one of my favorites ever since I started listening to them in high school. I’m 27 now, so I’ve been a fan for a while lol.

I recommend listening to the revamped version of this they did last year! It’s got new vocals and a slightly higher quality to it. Maybe not as a reaction, but it is a very apparent difference.

What else should you get on your list? Yousei Teikoku, “Kyusei Αργυροσ”? Fuki’s collab with Galneryus’ SYU, “Reason”? Have you done “Angel of Salvation” by Galneryus yet? That one will melt your face. Your reactions are great tho🤣

it’s a band that formed by MTH members by audition,(it’s kinda like 2nd generation maximum the hormone) and their first MV were covering Koi no Mega Lover with the exact same people from the original MV

Been listening to them for sometime and this probably one of the best breakdowns that I’ve ever heard, the way they transition from genre to genre. Japanese Frea and Dimebag Darreru!
