Have to agree, intense is the best word to describe Maximum the Hormone.
I’m not a huge fan of screaming metal in general, or what we call “Cookie Monster” vocals, but these guys are the best.

Sweet! You finally did MTH! These guys are one of my favorite bands, not just oif Japanese bands but of all bands. As you said, they are very original. Also, I’ve seen a lot of reactions to this video and you are the only one I’ve seen that predicted the beginning. It usually catches people completly by surprise.
Well, they sound to me like a Rage Against The Machine, Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy, System Of A Down in the blender with some Machine Head on top.

Hi Mira! Almost to 1000! Maybe there by now! Did you know that Nao, female drummer supreme for Maximum the Hormone, is Akane’s favorite drummer and inspiration for being a heavy, kickass rock drummer? Yep, it’s true. There used to be a fantastic video of Akane covering Benjo Sandal Dance, but she made it private after a while. But it was amazing! Anyway, Nao does all the cutesie vocal parts and an occasional beast growl.
