The whole video is a spoof, or commentary on the music industry, however you want to look at it.
In the video their music goes from total hard core to a little more polished and produced to the symbolic marriage with the Gaijin Record Producer and then the total sell out of the band that leads to the bad lip syncing kiddy friendly music and the inevitable arguments and perversions that lead to the destruction of a group!
These guys are Genius!!
Oh, and the WinNY they talk about in the video is a now defunct file/music sharing program simular to Napster and the argument at the end was about why they were even singing about stopping WinNy when it was already dead!! Still So Genius!!
The thing about some bands in Japan is that they do not stick to the same music style, OK Maximum the Hormone are a band that may do it a few times in a song. With a lot of Japanese bands you have to hear about 3 or 4 song before you can really say what they are like. Maximum the Hormone go from SOAD (What’s Up People) to a Weezer/Offspring (VAP).
