Band BIO:
Maximum the Hormone is a Japanese heavy metal band from Hachiōji, Tokyo. Their lineup has consisted of Daisuke-han, Nao, Ryo-kun, and Ue-chan since 1999. Each member alternates singing lead vocals, often within the same song, with the exception of Ue-chan, who provides backup vocals almost exclusively. The group is best known for their unconventional and experimental style of alternative metal music. Over their career, they have found success incorporating elements of heavy metal, hardcore punk, hip hop, pop, funk, and ska into their sound. Stylistically, their music runs the gamut from being dark and serious, to ironic or humorous, often with drastic shifts in tempo and mood over the course of a song. The band’s eclectic nature frequently draws comparisons to System of a Down
FUN FACTS about band:
– Megadeth former guitarrist Marty Friedman recorded Maximum The Hormone hit single “Tsume Tsume” in his solo album, “Tokyo Jukebox”, released only in Japan. The recorded version also ends with another Maximum The Hormone track, “Lousiana Bob”
– In the band DVD “Deco Vs. Deco”, there’s a easter egg in the main menu. It display the band members making their “funny faces”. If you wait for some seconds, Daisuke suddenly sneezes, and the band members get angry “because he “spoiled the scene”, then they hit themselves and make a funny pose, ending the easter egg
– The guitarrist Ryo Kawakita is the younger brother of the drummer, Nao Kawakita

You can’t listen to this and not have a big-ass grin on your face ! Nice one guys.
That’s the kind of song you show your friend, who is only into pop hoping to get them hooked on some quality music..
Also, I just love Nao.
Классная физкультминутку у моих ребят на уроке технологии получилась! Прямо под вашу реакцию потанцевали! Здорово! Спасибо, парни!
Daisuke doing that quack at the end is in so many of their older songs I expect it to be at the end of all of their songs.
Cant hear that song anymore. Falling jimmy was my alarm clock for years and now the Song just triggers me to get up haha
Man, this song have so strong punk vibes! Back to the past…
The punk keeps on coming on this album. Punk and funk 🙂

Cmon guys, whilst your in Japan ,time to check out IRONBUNNY. “23 23” is a great song to start with

coincidentally, they played this song yesterday, at a concert in japan.
A cool physical education minute at my children’s technology lesson turned out! Right under your reaction danced! Great! Thanks, guys!
Another solid reaction video! Alan, you are right on the money. Rock Impogoroshi and all of their other early work were based in melocore and hardcore punk, with a healthy dose of funk and ska. Loved the trippy lava lamp background! Still looking forward to Rock and Roll Chainsaw. Keep ‘em coming, y’all! MWEI!
I love this song. This song give me Green Day vibes.

In case you haven’t already, please watch the music video of koi mega lover performed by their “franchise band” (or whatever they are supposed to be) コロナナモレモモ
ほり ちえみ (笑)
Sounds like a pre-cursor to the opening of UTSUKUSHIKIHITOBITONOUTA, shows how much they evolved.
