Band BIO:
Maximum the Hormone is a Japanese heavy metal band from Hachiōji, Tokyo. Their lineup has consisted of Daisuke-han, Nao, Ryo-kun, and Ue-chan since 1999. Each member alternates singing lead vocals, often within the same song, with the exception of Ue-chan, who provides backup vocals almost exclusively. The group is best known for their unconventional and experimental style of alternative metal music. Over their career, they have found success incorporating elements of heavy metal, hardcore punk, hip hop, pop, funk, and ska into their sound. Stylistically, their music runs the gamut from being dark and serious, to ironic or humorous, often with drastic shifts in tempo and mood over the course of a song. The band’s eclectic nature frequently draws comparisons to System of a Down

FUN FACTS about band:
– Megadeth former guitarrist Marty Friedman recorded Maximum The Hormone hit single “Tsume Tsume” in his solo album, “Tokyo Jukebox”, released only in Japan. The recorded version also ends with another Maximum The Hormone track, “Lousiana Bob”
– In the band DVD “Deco Vs. Deco”, there’s a easter egg in the main menu. It display the band members making their “funny faces”. If you wait for some seconds, Daisuke suddenly sneezes, and the band members get angry “because he “spoiled the scene”, then they hit themselves and make a funny pose, ending the easter egg
– The guitarrist Ryo Kawakita is the younger brother of the drummer, Nao Kawakita

It took forever for me to find where I could find all of their music. But after buying every MTH album I could get my hands on they became my favorite band. Love that you guys are doing so many reactions to them

I kinda remember they played this song three times or more in one concert which was held just for male. They also held a concert for females, and the ticket fee was a tampon. And the audience had to be no makeup.

Their concert is always unique just as their songs.

The title of the song is kinda questionable buuuuuuut nonetheless its good. Idk if there on haitus but they need to come back and make more music. Also I got another recommendation which is Core Pride by Uverworld (first opening of Blue Exorcist/Ao no Exorcist.) From the drum solo intro to into the actual song has such a great build up. You don’t have to react to it but just listen to it whenever.

THANK YOU LARGE!! I knew that you would be hyped about the metal break, I also knew that you would be bummed by the abrupt ending. That’s MTH for you! Always doing what you least suspect. Thanks for another great honest reaction! NOW… have you saved the best for last? You may disagree with me. That’s cool. Rock and Roll Chainsaw may not be your fave track, but it was the first MTH track I ever heard about 10 years ago and I have always loved it! Looking forward to more, dudes! Keep ‘em coming! MWEI!

MTH so takes me back to the 80s. I’m so happy there’s the Japanese music scene, I’d almost lost hope for any new good rock/punk , I’m so happy Japan 🇯🇵 has saved music 🎵 for me anyway 🤘🤘🤘😉😄😄😄😄😄
