Ha, this doesn’t even scratch the surface of their variety. Honestly this is the worst best start to the mth world. Main song is harsh and turns off many new listeners and the big switch just confuses people. I get why people ask for the reaction because it is so shocking, but i think this song should be worked into.
If you’re not put off by this, musically their extensive decades deep library is actually very pleasant and very diverse.
Maximum the hormone yoshufukushu is a banger.
I watch every new MTH reaction I see on on suggestions. Everytime.
Winny was a P2P file sharing Internet software like Napster.
But Winny was no longer even used when they made this song.

It’s a joke about Metallica going against Naspter.
WinNY was the Japanese Napster.
The song is making fun of bands that change their sound as they get more popular/try to become more popular, and end up caring about things like WinNY. The ultimate joke (as explained by the drummer talking to the singer at the end of the song) is that WinNY is defunct and no one uses it anymore, making complaining about it stupid. Moreover, the lyrics at the beginning are about standing up to power, not believing government lies, and how there are more important things to be concerned about (like nuclear fallout; remember the Fukushima reactor tragedy?).
Anyway, MtH is a wild ride. Hungry Pride and Maximum the Hormone I (the self titled song) are more straightforward. Yoshu Fukushu, Maximum the Hormone II (aka Lets Talk about Mentaka Cottelee) are a bit more…chaotic. Then there’s the songs they’ve done for anime, like What’s Up People, Zetsuo Billy, and F’ (Freiza). And that’s just scratching the surface. Hell of a rabbit hole to fall down into

You know, here in Europe, especially in France, we really are familiar to Japan culture through animation movies and anime that lead us to get into their unique universe and culture. ..
MTH is not a new group, I’ve been familiar to them a long time ago, and yes there’s no song where you can easily get into without being surprised…
Their universe is so versatile and amazing and their music so cool that it is impossible to get bored or annoyed…
These guys are pure genius!!!

MtH certainly didn’t use up everything with Alien – 22 more years of very diverse and playful material. Other Japanese Rock and heavy music bands – King GNU, 88KASYO Junrei, Sokinanaru, Brats; Pedro are getting heavier now.

‘音楽’ means enjoying sound.
