Actually, the entire band does vocals. So harsh vocals and rapping is usually handled by the lead singer while cleans and rougher vocals are handled by the guitarist, with the bassist and drummer doing cleans and backing vocals often.
Fun fact: The band puts subtitles on the MVs because japanese people also have no idea what they are saying.

he’s saying “ningen” which means iirc “human” ahahah (but i get you, i sang that song in a noraebang (karaoke) once, i still made a disclaimer before to be sure :’D)
I remember when the opening and ending of Death note changed to their songs and everyone was like “dafuq is that?” meanwhile i was enjoying it so much, that’s how i started listening to their albums :p

One thing I have learned about Maximum the Hormone (which is now my favorite band) is that EVERY SONG you MUST hear it from start to finish THEN form an opinion because ever song has that one catchy party that you will not forget. They must have gotten the music cheat codes from System of a Down.
I’m Japanese, and I have no idea what he’s saying, they sometimes just have mangled lyrics that vaugely sound English to fuck with you at times so, when Maximum lyrics don’t make sense its probably done on purpose.
