麺カタコッテリで腹ペコラー!
Honestly, I don’t know why i made this really. When i met Corey Taylor during the Prepare For Hell Tour, i tried talking to him about Maximum The Hormone because all I’ve ever seen of them was videos online and they’re one of my favorite bands. I thought it was cool seeing that scene in Nero Forte because it’s the same premise of my favorite scene in the video for Yoshu Fukushu by Maximum The Hormone. Today i rewatched Nero Forte and went to that video, which made me go into an MTH binge and next thing i know I’m seeing they literally do it in everyone of their videos. To me seeing that synergy, I view the band as being a tight knit unit which is something I’ve always seen MTH as. I grew up listening to Slipknot and after Grey passed, Joey left, and Chris was fired. Slipknot didn’t feel like the nine I knew and grew up with. That video though made me happy, cause it not only sounded like the Slipknot i grew up with, but it felt like the Slipknot i grew up with. With that said, the consistency MTH did this is impressive, I don’t speak Japanese so I don’t really know if they had issues at some point so my perception of them has been the same since I first heard of Maximum The Hormone watching Death Note on Adult Swim. That they were this weird wacky family. I fucking love it and wanted to take a second to appreciate that, by something that went over my head but at the same time i somewhat noticed. I think it’s brilliant that it’s in every video. Not as brilliant as Makishimamu Za Horumon’s tool shirt appearing in most of their videos. I think it is so fucking cool that, that was actually a thing and it even had a pay off of Maximum The Hormone sharing the stage with tool at Knotfest. Which brings this whole video/rant full circle cause it’s cause of that, that caused me to need to try to talk to Corey about Maximum The Hormone.
Songs used in this were
Slipknot: Nero Forte
Maximum The Hormone: Buiikikaesu
This is actually the first video i did on my phone with any actual editing and i just used an app called video editor on my laptop haha. The clips of the music videos themselves I used the gif maker my phone has on videos I found on youtube and just converted the .gifs to .mp4’s then put it all together.
Hey, huge MTH fan here,
I always write a lot under reaction videos to explain what the video they just watched was about, but your video is gonna be an exception.
I always loved the fact that MTH, as you wrote in the description, feels more like a family (well, they kinda are, since Ryo (guitarist) and Nao (drummer) are brother and older sister xD
but yeah, they have this energy that makes you go crazy without even realizing it and that’s why I love them.
I mean, they don’t care if they are getting older (sadly) but they still bring that energy, that crazyness into this boring world and… matter of fact MOST of japanese bands do! Japanese is very huge in this “show” mentality in the sense they put on a show, either with crazy headbang or huge presence on stage, and MTH are both of them mashed together.
That’s why after I found out more and more of japanese bands, that I feel most, if almost all of western bands are …well.. kinda boring. They stay there in the place and just play whatever. It can be heavy metal it can be deathcore (well, deathcore band put some energy but still, you get what I mean). I always see bands just stand in place doing nothing with their bodies, and ofter the most they do is just headbang at an angle but they remain on the place.
Japanese bands? HELL NA, we jumping, we headbang and go fuckin crazy.
MTH used to do some in sync jumps (the song “Maximum The Hormone” for example or “What’s up people?!” ) now I don’t think they do anymore.. maybe in big stages? i dunno.. but still, they were and still are crazier than most of american/european bands.
Anyway thanks for telling Corey about them, and.. I’m kinda curious on how the discussion went! :O
Oh right, since I kinda liked what you talked about in this video I wanted to tell you that I have a second channel (I don’t know if you find out already) where I post MTH stuff (in the highest quality I can find), but sadly I have to put the videos as unlisted for copyright claims, but my playlists with every video are public so you (and everybody else) are free to check it out 😀

Hope you have fun and keep listening to MTH! m/ and if you need, you can ask me anything about MTH and I’ll try to answer as best as I can!
