Maximum The Hormone is one of the most eclectic bands I have ever seen, and they have an incredible sense of humor! OK, here is what I know: The drummer is the guitar player’s sister. The guitar player used to be quite husky. The drummer had a baby so the band took a little time off, and the guitar player went on a fitness regimen and lost a lot of weight. Apparently there was a bit of an uproar, some fans complained and said they preferred the “fatter” version. This song trolls those people.

I think, seeing your reaction to this, you might want to try “Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas”, from which I recommend “Crossover” and/or “Passcode” with “Bite the bullet”.
Add those guitars to Babymetal and you’d have the perfect band. They sound so good when they go heavy.

Yeah this one’s a bit extreme on the changeups spectrum, even for MTH, which is bound to be a shocking introduction to the band. You should dive a little deeper for a real feel for what makes MTH tick and why they’re so popular for reaction vids. They’re usually likened to System of a Down more.
Suggestions: What’s up people?, Yoshu Fukushu, Koi No Megalover, Buiikikaesu, Maximum the Hormone, and Vap is another new track simply to announce a label change.
There’s actually a lot of “standard” written songs in their back catalog, that you’d probably like a lot – they’ve gotten more experimental definitively since their first EP/Albums. GoldenGuy is a new song that’s written in a more normal structure, but I don’t think they have a music video for that. They’ve been around since like the mid or late 90s.

Additional info for you, Hormone/Horumon actually means cow intestines. These guys like to eat, so Maximum the Hormone means they want the meat portion more than the carbs!
Haha, this is probably the hardest song of their’s to wrap your head around if you’ve never heard them before. “What’s Up People” would be an easier start, “Youshu Fukushu” is almost as crazy but flows a lot better (to new MtH ears), there are other comments here that’ll give you other good songs too.
I’d suggest the song “Maximum the Hormone” (a song named after the band) for a next listen as well. It’ll also help a little bit to understand this song listened to in this video, which it’s full name is “Maximum the Hormone II: Let’s Talk about Menkata Cottelee”. With the Japanese writing in the title, the fact that this song is a part 2 of another song can get missed.
Give that one a go. It’s flows a lot easier as well and is just a killer song!! Hell like Band-Maid, MtH doesn’t really have a bad song, they can just take a bit of adjustment 🙂
So I just found out that Ryokun (the vocalist) was having searious health issues, so he started taking care of himself and put down some weight and then some sh*tty fans started complaining about his new image (which I find stupid and senseless), so they wrote the song as an answer to those brainless people. God, people can be annoying sometimes, I’m glad Ryokun is healthy now.
Nao is also a mother now and is why they’ve slowed down a lot. They used to have a record out every few years but this one took 8 years.
