I found out about them when I watched the Death Note anime. So it was around 2008 (HS freshman year) and i have been hooked ever since. the fist time i heard the into-outro, i scanned the credits to figure out who they were…and then dove head-first down the rabbit-hole. They just emit this pure chaos energy that is A D D I C T I N G.
There’s another, newer, Japanese group called Trident that I’ve fallen in love with recently. Their energy is amazing and the drummer is LIT. Also it’s an all female 3 piece. Check ‘em out when you can. You will NOT be disappointed.
I love MTH!!! I keep trying to show my friends and family MTH and they just don’t seem to get it!!!! I’ve explained the band and their songs but still…… if people want to buy any of their cd’s or DVD/blue ray cdJapan is a good place to find them!!! Thanks for reacting to them!!!!

There are a few number of acts that exist outside the box like Electric Callboy, We Butter The Bread With Butter, etc. Then there are acts that blow the box to smithereens so they’ll never be stuffed in there. Maximum The Hormone is like that. Great reaction!

I waited 13years to see them again and finally a month ago in colone the time has come. It was f-ing awsome. Totaly worth the journey.
My daughter (14 years old) and I were lucky and saw them this year in Cologne, Germany! It was the second show in Germany ever!!! The first one was eleven years ago!
I‘m 53 and I saw roundabout 70 concerts in my life, but this show was incredible and I will never forget it…NEVER! This is not a band, this is a Tsunami! After this show, I fehlt that Rammstein was more of a tea party with my Grandparents in comparison! Unbelievable!!! 90 minutes overwhelming energy and complete insanity! If you have the chance to see them, cancel everything and go to see them! You will never forget it!!!

They’ve been around for well over 20 years.
BABYMETAL, Yousei Teikoku and Maximum the Hormone are my favorite japanise Metal-Bands, I love them all three. I have lots of CDs from this bands, but it is not easy to get them in europe.
Saw them live this July in Barcelona, probably one of the bests concerts of my life 😀

I’d been to a few concerts in Japan where the crowd had full choreography for the entire concert. It’s a blast. Heck even when i saw ladybaby the entire show was a wild ride of audience participation.
I first heard of them because Akane of Band-Maid said that Nao is her favorite drummer.

I just discovered them last year when I read Hanabie started out as an MTH cover band. So glad I actually checked them out. I would love to see them live and be able to follow all the rest of the audience. I noticed all the Japanese bands I watch have some of the best fans.
this group is awsome, the best, moreover, it is thanks to Nao that we have Tamu and Akane, not to mention Hanabie, all the more reason to love them.

I remember discovering maximum the hormone in highschool I was an anime nerd so much so we had a anime club in school. Haha I still listen to this bad today right along side all the American metal and punk I blast on a daily. This bad really takes me back though man.
