YES! Oh I have adored these guys (and girl) for a couple years. I can even play a couple of their songs on bass (it’s the closest bassist to Flea since Flea). Their songs Bu iikikaesu (which you can’t really find a proper video for anymore for some reason) and Yoshu Fukushu (how this is pronounced) are both absolute bangers. I cannot speak any Japanese or understand a single word they’re saying. However, I have a friend who is fluent in Japanese, and he also cannot understand a word they are saying (and I get the idea that Japanese people can’t really either). Their video for Bu iikikiaesu was titled in katakana as well, so it’ll probably be very hard to find, even on other sites. The one on YouTube is not the official video (it looks like some weird comedy sketch) and is a small YouTube channel in Cyrillic, so I don’t know how they’d handle a reaction. Regardless, you should check it out on your own! Much love guys.
The song Yoshū Fukushū is about the guitarist Ryo (Maximum the Ryo-kun) who was bullied in school. The song starts with his sister, Nao (the drummer), singing about how his brain is stuck in 7th grade and that his wife and big sis (her) can’t help him. The song continues with him singing about being misjudged, the anger he feels, and then the revenge he plots. In the end, he decides to get all his anger out through his music and doesn’t care if anyone understands or if it makes money.
Maximum the Hormone are so awesome, like someone else commented this song is about the guitarist been bullied in school, the drummer is his sister and she’s the reason why the drummer from Nemophila started drumming, she was inspired by her when she saw her. By the way I love your reaction at 2:37 lol.
Fun to watch reaction. If you like thrash punk, four crazy ladies from Kyoto “Otoboke Beaver” bring it hard and fast. They have some great official MV’s.
My wife is HUGE into the Chainsaw Man anime, and that’s how she discovered Maximum The Hormone. Good stuff.

「人間椅子」や「ODO」のライブとかのリアクションが見たいなあ・・・
I found this band way way back in 2006 when an unknown anime (now considered one of the greatest and is usually on everyone’s must watch list) called Death Note aired late at night. The 1st seasons opening credits are played by this band. The song (either What’s Up People or Zetsubo Billy, I honestly can’t remember which came 1st) was my intro to Japanese metal and I’ve been a fan since. I love this band and my favorite band began as a cover band for them in high school (HANABIE)
Edit: Daisuke is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. No one sounds like him and only Yukina from HANABIE has his skills and range
I got to see MtH live in London in last year. Incredible performance. I thought Baby Metal at Hammersmith Odeon was intense, MtH were a doorstep up. If you see any Japanese bands coming to the UK, go and see them. You might like to try Fate Gear, who will be in London this July.
