MTH is unbelievably talented. Their songs are one hell of a ride. Love it.
One of the greatest from Japan! And their drummer Nao is so influential to the new wave of Japanese drummers (the 2000’s and onwards)…a lot of new drummers has Nao as their influence
I started getting addicted to Japanese Alt music in 2018 (i can give up anytime). Fell down the rabbit hole so far i”ve now been leaning to speak Japanese for 3 years. The Japanese bands are slaying it on all Genre’s (most of them in the same song). If you want something completly different but still as awsome as MTH then check out solo artist Haru Nemuri.
You might need to try their song Utsukushikihitobitonouta [Ode to Bluetiful People]. It os a song for depressed people. Definitely my favorite MTH song

Some suggestions: “Buiikikaesu” (get the original video! ), “F” , “What’s up people” , “Maximum the hormone” (not the short one where the song is cut!) & “Maximum the hormone II (let’s talk about menkata kottelee)”, “Koi no mega lover” (be careful to look for the right video) and many others! 😊
Have you done “yoshu fukushu” or “what’s up people?” yet? Those ones are must.
Also you can do “F” or “koi no mega lover”. There’s a full show called “Pre attack and revenge” split in 4 parts in Dailymotion, incredible show.
You got it right .Tsume means nail. so could also be a nail used to hold wood together.Could be a bad translation in video . If you sub nail for claw it works even better . The line i want to claw many woman. turns into I want to nail many woman.
Close on the pronunciation. The ‘T’ isn’t silent. My sensei taught us to say the word ‘cats’ and add the rest of the Japanese word at the end (i.e. Cats-ume cats-ume) then slowly drop the ‘Ca’ Cats-ume Cats-ume tsume tsume etc.
Said it before, I’ll say it again, Best punk-metal band!!
