Just as a warning, Maximum the Hormone used to be problematic for reaction channels, leading to copyright strikes, sometimes long (even years) after the video was posted. I’m not sure if this is still the case, but I know there were some channels that were closed down due to those strikes back in the days (three strikes means the channel is shut down).

I can only suggest to check out the live footage that is available from them from Metrock festival (it’s not on youtube though but a different site). SO awesome! One of the most energetic live bands ever!
if im not mistaken system of a down released their first album in like 1998 or 99, and i think maximum the hormone was created at the same time though they were not in their current form until like 2002 so maybe SoaD had influence on them very possible but at the same time they might have been breaking the same vein at the same time too. I dont know if I am right in any way though as i have no fact to base this on just supposition.

Normally i wouldnt like this kind of stuff, but these guys are so unique and talented. Kick ass band
A lot of their more aggressive sounding songs are either pretty silly or about food, while their more catchy songs are often pretty obscene (they also have serious songs of course). This song was used for a cup noodle commercial, so you have the right idea what it’s about 😉.
As far as I know they’ve only played in Europe in 2008 and 2011 and the last time they played abroad was in south America in 2017. So the chances aren’t good. They mostly tour Japan and even there it’s really hard to get tickets.
This was the first japanese rock band I listened to more than 15 years ago. I almost had forgotten about them when I got back to listening to japanese music a few years ago. They had such a unique touch on the whole Nu Metal thing, that still sounds fresh, unilke so many other bands of that genre.

This band is one of a kind.
MTH 🤟 Actually the last part, there’s a full length video for that. You’ll see some famous drummers and bassist auditioning on that video, you’ll see Tamu Murata(Nemophila), Nyango Star(CHARAMEL) and Mana Fukuda(YouTuber) in their, even the MTH bassist brother wearing Spider-man suit did appeared. It was a funny video even I don’t understand the language 😁🤘

You can see that BAND-MAID drummer AKANE is strongly influenced by this band drummer NAO, right?
i stumbled onto them from the death note series. after looking up who made this awesome opening song, i was instantly hooked. “what’s up people” is so badass
You can skip the lyrics part of this band because even a Japanese don’t know what they’re singing most of the time. LOL
But it doesn’t mean the lyrics are meaningless, just too hard for a foreigner to understand by direct translation.
Love this band because they are heavy but pop in the same time (don’t even know that make sense).
i wouuld dare say they are an evolved unique band with rootinfluences by SOAD but their own flavor makes it for me. I love SOAD but i think here in the west we only know them as a reference

even though i dont understand the words, i listen to this song alot. My favorite song from MTH. I can only assume the meaning ahs to do with corporations being aggresive and hungry to keep making money? I’m getting this idea from the people in the mosh pit being in business suites and wearing ties and the predators killing and eathing their prey. If anyone understands the words, please let me know if i am even close.
